Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional research teams in developing novel AI algorithms and quantum computing frameworks
- Secure and manage $2M+ annual research grants from federal agencies and private partners
- Translate theoretical breakthroughs into patentable technologies with commercial applications
- Present findings at top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, QIP) and publish in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in emerging tech methodologies
- Collaborate with product teams to prototype scalable solutions for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or related field with 8+ years research experience
- Proven track record of publishing 10+ peer-reviewed papers in high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum machine learning, NISQ algorithms, or neuromorphic computing
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Successful grant writing history with NSF, DARPA, or equivalent institutions
- Experience leading international research teams with diverse technical backgrounds
- Deep understanding of ethical AI development and quantum security protocols
