Responsibilities
- Develop ethical guidelines for next-gen AI systems including autonomous vehicles and healthcare diagnostics
- Conduct bias audits and impact assessments for AI deployed in high-stakes environments
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement ethical guardrails in production models
- Author policy whitepapers for regulatory bodies and industry consortiums
- Lead cross-functional workshops on responsible AI adoption with Fortune 500 partners
- Monitor emerging AI ethics legislation and advise organizational strategy
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years researching AI ethics with published work in peer-reviewed journals
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF)
- Proficiency in Python for bias auditing tools and data analysis
- Experience with stakeholder engagement in tech policy development
- Strong background in philosophy of technology or moral philosophy
- Portfolio demonstrating real-world AI ethics implementation projects
