Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics governance frameworks for autonomous systems
- Lead cross-functional ethics reviews for high-stakes AI deployments in healthcare and transportation
- Partner with policy teams to shape federal AI regulations and international standards
- Design bias mitigation protocols for large-scale ML models and generative AI systems
- Conduct ethics audits and risk assessments for emerging AI technologies
- Build public trust initiatives through transparent AI explainability programs
- Mentor ethics task forces across engineering and product teams
Qualifications
- PhD or advanced degree in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years in AI governance, responsible AI, or tech ethics leadership
- Proven expertise in developing bias detection/mitigation frameworks
- Deep knowledge of global AI regulations (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, etc.)
- Experience collaborating with regulatory bodies and policy institutions
- Strong background in ML/AI system architecture and technical implementation
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex ethics concepts
- Published research in AI ethics or related fields preferred
