Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers safely and efficiently on highways and local routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to safety standards and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate logs and records, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle interior and exterior.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work weekends as required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
