Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research initiatives in quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Partner with C-suite executives to integrate future-tech into product strategy
- Present insights at industry conferences and publish thought leadership pieces
- Mentor cross-functional teams on emerging technologies and innovation methodologies
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental projects
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets in emerging tech sectors
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation leadership
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching future-focused products or services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting frameworks
- Strong network within global tech innovation ecosystems
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts
- Published research or patents in emerging technologies preferred
