Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning to identify and validate breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop and present strategic technology roadmaps for board-level stakeholders
- Establish cross-functional innovation labs with MIT, Stanford, and global tech partners
- Quantify market disruption risks and opportunities across 15+ industry verticals
- Author thought leadership reports on future-tech convergence scenarios
- Manage $50M+ innovation portfolio allocation across emerging tech domains
- Represent company at Davos, CES, and global futurism conferences
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in futurism or emerging tech forecasting
- Proven track record of commercializing 2020-2025 tech innovations
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, or synthetic biology
- Published author or keynote speaker at 3+ major tech conferences
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (e.g., Futures Platform, TrendHunter)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) for speculative R&D
- Portfolio demonstrating successful prediction of tech adoption curves
