Responsibilities
- Architect 2026 technology roadmaps for AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Drive R&D strategy through patent development and proof-of-concept prototyping
- Present technological vision to C-suite investors and strategic partners
- Establish cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering and design teams
- Author thought leadership on future tech trends for industry publications
- Maintain competitive intelligence through global tech ecosystem analysis
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in emerging tech forecasting
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, neurotech, or climate tech
- Proven track record of launching commercialized innovations from R&D
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurology
- Exceptional system thinking and scenario planning capabilities
- Published research on technology adoption curves or innovation theory
- Experience securing $1M+ in future-focused R&D funding
- Fluency in future-proofing methodologies like Delphi analysis or horizon scanning
