Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scan emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, biocomputing) to develop 2026-2030 strategic roadmaps
- Lead cross-functional 'Future Labs' prototyping sessions with engineers, designers, and domain experts
- Architect technology integration frameworks for enterprise clients adopting 2026-vintage systems
- Present visionary briefings to C-suite executives and industry consortiums
- Author white papers on societal implications of near-future tech disruptions
- Manage $2M innovation portfolio for experimental R&D initiatives
- Mentor junior futurists in trend analysis and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Future Studies; PhD preferred
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy or innovation leadership
- Published research in IEEE/AI journals on exponential tech trends
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, neuromorphic, synthetic biology)
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic concepts
- Certification in Futures Studies (e.g., WFS, APF) or equivalent
- Exceptional storytelling ability to translate complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience with horizon scanning frameworks (Delphi, STEEP analysis)
