Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for near-term quantum processors
- Develop novel error correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum software architecture
- Publish research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Lead cross-functional projects integrating quantum-classical hybrid solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
- Secure external research funding through government and industry partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum information theory and quantum hardware limitations
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with high-performance computing experience
- Track record of securing research grants or industry partnerships
- Experience leading technical teams and managing complex research projects
