Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical 2026 applications in cryptography and optimization
- Direct hardware prototyping of scalable quantum processors at 300+ qubit capacity
- Collaborate with MIT and Stanford researchers on error-correction methodologies
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Technology Summits
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure $5M+ in annual research grants
- Develop patent portfolios for proprietary quantum architectures
- Partner with AWS Quantum and IBM Quantum for cloud integration
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent with 8+ years research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science on quantum supremacy demonstrations
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Proven track record of securing NSF/DoD quantum research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization
- Experience leading cross-continental R&D teams across 3+ time zones
- Active Q clearance or ability to obtain DOE clearance
