Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures targeting 1,000+ qubit systems by 2026
- Develop error correction protocols achieving 99.99% gate fidelity
- Lead integration of quantum algorithms with classical high-performance computing frameworks
- Collaborate with hardware teams on cryogenic control system optimization
- Create security frameworks for post-quantum cryptographic transitions
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams in quantum algorithm implementation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven expertise in superconducting qubit systems or topological quantum computing
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq)
- Experience with quantum circuit optimization and compilation
- Strong background in cryogenic engineering or quantum control systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF/DOE)
- Collaborative mindset with experience leading technical teams
