Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends and technological inflection points to forecast market shifts through 2026+
- Develop scenario-planning models for emerging industries including generative AI, synthetic biology, and space commerce
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into R&D priorities and product innovation pipelines
- Author strategic whitepapers and executive briefings on disruptive technologies and their commercial implications
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and innovation labs to pioneer next-gen research initiatives
- Design and implement Horizon's 'Future Radar' early-warning system for emerging risks and opportunities
- Mentor junior futurists and cultivate a culture of anticipatory thinking across the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field (PhD/Master's preferred)
- 7+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology trend analysis
- Proven track record of developing and implementing future-oriented business strategies
- Deep expertise in emerging technologies: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI development
- Exceptional proficiency in scenario modeling, horizon scanning, and trend analysis methodologies
- Published thought leadership in futurism or technology strategy (journal articles, books, keynotes)
- Experience advising Fortune 500 executives on long-term strategic positioning
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major foresight projects with measurable business impact
