This role blends foresight analysis with strategic execution in Austin's dynamic tech ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Analyze global technology trends, market shifts, and socio-economic indicators to identify 2026+ opportunities
- Develop and present strategic foresight frameworks to C-suite executives and enterprise clients
- Lead cross-functional workshops to co-create future scenarios and innovation blueprints
- Produce high-impact trend reports and predictive models for emerging domains (AI ethics, quantum computing, bio-integration)
- Build and maintain a network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
- Translate complex foresight data into actionable business strategies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or emerging tech research
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech, neurotech)
- Proven ability to communicate complex futures concepts to diverse audiences
- Certification in foresight or strategic foresight (e.g., AC/FS preferred)
- Portfolio of published trend reports or future scenarios
