Responsibilities
- Develop predictive models for technology adoption curves in 2026+ markets
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps
- Build and maintain Horizon's proprietary trend intelligence database
- Deliver quarterly strategic briefings to the Board of Directors
- Partner with R&D teams to prototype future-facing solutions
- Author whitepapers on emerging paradigms (quantum computing, neurotech, etc.)
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of successful trend-to-revenue translation
- Expertise in scenario planning and systems thinking frameworks
- Published thought leadership in emerging technology domains
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and NLP
- Experience with patent landscape analysis and technology scouting
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
