Responsibilities
- Analyze horizon-scanning data to identify and quantify emerging trends across tech, economics, and social domains
- Develop 2026+ strategic scenarios and risk mitigation frameworks for executive decision-making
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate foresight into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at global innovation conferences
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D centers to track breakthrough technologies
- Design and maintain Horizon's proprietary futures intelligence platform using AI-driven analytics
- Mentor junior strategists and build an internal foresight capability within the organization
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Futures Studies, Innovation Management, or related field
- 5+ years in strategy consulting, corporate innovation, or futures research with Fortune 500 exposure
- Proven expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and systemic risk assessment methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech) and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills to communicate complex futures to diverse stakeholders
- Experience with futures intelligence tools (e.g., Gartner Hype Cycle, Deloitte Tech Trends)
- Portfolio demonstrating published foresight work or strategic frameworks implemented at scale
