Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 innovation roadmap, identifying disruptive technologies and market shifts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and scaling solutions for quantum computing, neural interfaces, and climate tech
- Partner with C-suite executives to align innovation initiatives with business strategy
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis using AI-powered forecasting tools
- Secure $5M+ in R&D funding through grant proposals and venture partnerships
- Mentor a team of 8 futurists, engineers, and design thinkers
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of launching products with $100M+ market impact
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized systems
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in journals like MIT Technology Review or Future Trends
- Certification in Foresight Methodology (e.g., from APF or Foresight University)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
