Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research across AI, biotech, climate tech, and digital economies to forecast 2026+ trends
- Develop predictive models using quantitative data and qualitative scenario planning
- Produce whitepapers and executive briefings on disruptive market shifts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to align innovation teams with future opportunities
- Identify emerging risks and opportunities through patent analysis and academic partnerships
- Represent the company at global futurist conferences and thought leadership forums
- Maintain a proprietary trend database and publish quarterly foresight reports
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or technology analysis
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies and trend mapping tools
- Published author or speaker at futurist conferences (e.g., WFSF, Foresight Practitioners)
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and statistical modeling
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful long-term trend predictions
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to executive stakeholders
