Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities in a safe and timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and safe for operation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, ensuring a pleasant environment for all passengers.
- Monitor student behavior, enforce safety rules, and manage passenger discipline.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, particularly those with special needs or young children.
- Follow designated routes and schedules strictly to ensure efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, school administrators, and parents regarding any delays or incidents.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Proof of a clean driving record (no serious traffic violations within the last 3-5 years).
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screening, and physical agility test.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional afternoons.
