Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage student behavior according to district safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and designated bus routes
- Maintain clean, orderly bus environment daily
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and dispatch
- Respond professionally to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid NC Class B CDL with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 21+ years old
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus stairs repeatedly
