As a Medical Courier, you will play a vital role in the healthcare ecosystem, ensuring that vital samples reach laboratories and hospitals exactly when they are needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, and critical patient documents to and from medical facilities in the San Antonio area.
- Ensure the strict compliance of all deliveries with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate digital logs of all deliveries, pickups, and mileage for tax and payroll purposes.
- Interact professionally and courteously with hospital staff, patients, and healthcare providers.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is clean, safe, and fueled before each shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding road safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driverβs License and a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
- Physical ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods during routes.
- Reliable smartphone with data access for GPS navigation and app-based reporting.
- Strong time management skills and a commitment to punctuality.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn our dispatch and tracking software.
