Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight across regional and local routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Previous experience in freight hauling or logistics preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
