Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles following all traffic regulations and company protocols
- Load/unload packages with care to prevent damage during transit
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely arrivals
- Collect payments and obtain delivery confirmations from recipients
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service during all delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento streets and surrounding areas
- Basic smartphone proficiency for route navigation apps
- Reliable transportation to/from depot for shift start
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
