Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local Honolulu deliveries and inter-island freight transport
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic documentation (eBOLs)
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and coordinate preventive maintenance
- Optimize routes for Oahu and neighbor island deliveries using GPS navigation
- Provide exceptional customer service during commercial and residential deliveries
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time load adjustments
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive shipments
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years box truck operation experience in urban environments
- Clean MVR record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Must own or have access to DOT-compliant box truck (26' max length)
- Knowledge of Honolulu traffic patterns and Hawaii port regulations
- Ability to pass FBI background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills for on-road repairs
- Strong English communication skills for client interactions
