Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport goods within the Jacksonville metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while maintaining flawless safety records
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage paperwork including delivery logs, bills of lading, and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
- Support warehouse operations when not on driving assignments
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical loading/unloading tasks
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville roadways and surrounding areas
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation software
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
