Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 tractor-trailers for weekend delivery routes within Florida
- Perform pre-trip inspections and ensure DOT compliance for all vehicles
- Load/unload freight with precision using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and electronic logs
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding route progress and delays
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety
- Conduct post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Jacksonville-area highways and delivery zones
- Pass background check and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Flexible availability for Saturday/Sunday shifts (6 AM - 6 PM)
