Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans to transport freight safely and efficiently across the Houston metro area and surrounding regions.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; Class B considered for specific routes.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Certificate (DOT) and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must be available to work weekends (Friday-Sunday) and occasional holidays.
