Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A trucks to transport freight across Texas and neighboring states.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying weights and quantities as required.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no DUIs or serious moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and logistics routes.
- Willingness to work weekends (Friday through Sunday) and holidays.
