Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for weekend deliveries within Philadelphia and surrounding regions
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections to ensure DOT compliance and vehicle safety
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts with precision and care
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) records
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes
- Adhere to strict HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Perform minor preventative maintenance checks and report vehicle issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience in urban environments
- Current DOT medical certification and ability to pass background check
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Philadelphia traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work Saturday/Sunday shifts (5:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
