Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations within the Indianapolis area.
- Unload and organize cargo accurately at each stop, ensuring proper handling of sensitive items.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve any delivery issues or complaints on the spot.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any maintenance needs.
- Utilize handheld technology (tablets) to track delivery status and manage paperwork.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and trailer at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and proven punctuality.
- Ability to work flexible weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer literacy for logging hours and delivery updates.
