Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (53' dry van) for weekend deliveries throughout DC, MD, and VA
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries with GPS navigation and real-time dispatch communication
- Verify cargo documentation and ensure secure loading/unloading procedures
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and local traffic laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean MVR
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Knowledge of Washington DC metro area routes and regulations
- Weekend availability (Saturday/Sunday shifts, 6am-6pm)
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging
