Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 15-passenger van or box truck to transport goods to various locations in the East Bay.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols during every shift.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical readiness.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork (e.g., Bills of Lading, manifests).
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
- A clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to lift packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong knowledge of local Oakland and surrounding Bay Area geography.
- Basic computer skills for logging deliveries and updating tracking systems.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
