Responsibilities
- Operate a commercial van to transport products and materials to designated delivery points in Austin and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring items are secured and protected from damage.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying delivery details and obtaining signatures when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to the dispatch team.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no DUIs within the last 3 years).
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a similar van or light truck environment.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of local Austin geography and traffic patterns.
- Physically capable of lifting packages up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
- Must have reliable personal transportation available for shift changes.
