Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 8 commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Plan and execute efficient delivery schedules while maintaining on-time performance
- Document freight handling and delivery paperwork with precision
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding route status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with safety protocols
- Collaborate with logistics team to optimize route efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate manual transmission
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in GPS navigation and electronic logging systems
- Flexibility for overnight travel and varying schedules
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Knowledge of Texas and Southwest regional highways
