Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight across regional routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs per DOT regulations
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and securement techniques
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and troubleshoot delays
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pick-up operations
- Report vehicle maintenance issues and participate in preventative care programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including overnight routes
- Previous hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
