Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) for long-haul and regional deliveries
- Ensure cargo security and maintain accurate delivery documentation
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Optimize routes for timely deliveries while maintaining fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Manage electronic logging systems (ELD) and compliance records
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Florida roadways and Southeastern US routes
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed trailers preferred
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
