Responsibilities
- Safely transport goods and packages to designated addresses throughout Chicago, IL.
- Load and unload cargo from delivery vehicles using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Verify delivery contents against invoices and obtain electronic or written signatures.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any delivery-related inquiries.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the delivery vehicle at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License (Class B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred but not required).
- A clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and ability to work independently during night hours.
- Basic proficiency with mobile devices for GPS navigation and digital signatures.
