Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, organs, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain strict chain-of-custody protocols and documentation for all medical shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard safety standards during handling and transport
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across St. Louis medical facilities
- Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections and maintain cleanliness of transport equipment
- Communicate professionally with hospital staff, lab technicians, and dispatch coordinators
- Handle urgent STAT deliveries with priority and efficiency
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport certification preferred
- Experience with temperature-controlled logistics or medical specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex protocols
- Basic knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard safety procedures
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate manual/automated temperature equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills in dynamic environments
- Pass background check and drug screening
