As a CDL Driver at Midwest Transport Solutions, you will be the face of our brand, ensuring our customers' goods are delivered safely and on time. We provide comprehensive training and support for entry-level drivers looking to upgrade their career.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans over designated routes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean at all times.
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required (Entry level training available for Class A).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math skills for cargo calculations.
