Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for freight transportation across Ohio and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and DOT regulations during all transit operations
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and customer communications
- Handle secure cargo loading/unloading with proper equipment usage
- Represent the company professionally with clients at delivery points
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years experience)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Strong knowledge of Ohio traffic laws and interstate highway systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Previous experience with refrigerated or flatbed trailers preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
