Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages, documents, and goods using company vehicles
- Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain recipient signatures
- Plan optimal routes to minimize delivery times and fuel consumption
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and delays through GPS tracking systems
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach area and surrounding regions
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Basic GPS navigation proficiency
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
