Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging records
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff for efficient load/unload operations
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining exceptional customer service
- Report mechanical issues and perform basic preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (company-paid)
- Knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway system
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills and professionalism
- Willingness to pass mandatory background check
