Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and hand trucks, ensuring cargo is secured properly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logs (DVIR) and daily mileage records.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (or eligibility to obtain one through our training program).
- Must be at least 21 years of age for interstate driving.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Basic English language skills for effective communication.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
