Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A & B) on regional and local routes.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring the safety of the freight and public.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from the state of Virginia.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) and drug screen on file.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to operate standard and automatic transmissions.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
