Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Perform pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance checks, and accurate logging
- Load/unload cargo with precision using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain constant communication with dispatch regarding route conditions and delivery status
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Submit timely paperwork including delivery confirmations and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Virginia roadways and regional logistics hubs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends as needed
