Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution and proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and daily logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and company safety policies.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Strong understanding of traffic patterns and geography in the Los Angeles area.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
