Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight across Texas and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to delivery schedules and safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo safely using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with minimum 1 year verifiable experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Texas highway systems and route planning
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
