Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport goods across designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes and manage delivery timelines to meet customer expectations
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and roadside assistance teams
- Report accidents, incidents, and mechanical issues immediately per company policy
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Flexibility for irregular schedules, overnight stays, and regional travel
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
