Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers on local and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using hand tools and forklifts as needed.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery logs.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam (Drug Screen included).
- Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Basic math skills for cargo weighing and invoicing.
- Reliable personal vehicle for getting to and from work.
- Willingness to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
