Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and weight distribution according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) and logbooks.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and navigate efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic laws, and navigation.
- Ability to lift and move cargo weighing up to 50 lbs.
