Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs (DVIR) and documentation for all trips.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of cargo to designated locations.
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding routes and schedules.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of North Carolina roadways and interstate routes.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in various weather conditions.
